San Antonio Spurs
Number of Tweets: 22.4 K

While it certainly doesn't hurt that the Spurs are one of the three best teams in the league this year, their Twitter account is certainly fitting of a team with great success. The first thing that strikes me is the cover photo, featuring a themed view of the San Antonio skyline, but much more importantly, a hashtag campaign. From the onset, you know that there is a mission by the marketing team to have a consistent message that can be used by fans to feel like they are part of the social media presence of the Spurs. Their feed is littered with a wonderful and diverse selection of media content, including score updates, game highlight videos, photos of players working in the community, and corporate sponsorships bringing fans promos. The deeper you get into the feed, the more you learn about the team's success this season, which of their players are going to the All Star Game, and how frequently yet effectively they retweet other accounts (both personal and organizations). They pull well over 100 favorites per tweet, often reaching 400. This is a very impressive account.
Average Score: 4.5
Aesthetics: 4.5
The aesthetics of this account are very good. They have tons of media content (videos and photos), usage of emojis, a solid cover photo and a representative profile picture. Half a point lost as I would like to see just a bit of creativity.
Useful/Informative Content: 5
Flawless execution in this category. The feed is littered with score updates, impressive stats and accomplishments, highlight videos, player spotlights, and promotions.
Creativity: 4
While this is an incredibly well managed Twitter account that engages fans and provides useful content, there isn't a lot of creativity. Effective emoji usage and clever reactions to in-game action prevent greater point slippage, as well as the occasional gif or display of humor. There just isn't much unique about the page.
Engagement: 4.5
The account seems to draw a lot of attention based on the amount of followers, likes, and retweets. Scrolling through the feed, you find fans, players, and other accounts being retweeted. One thing I'd like to see is response or direct tweets to fans or players. It also doesn't hurt that the team is currently 25-0 at home.
